"Where are all the buildings inspected?" After the Kamchatka earthquake, buildings requiring major repairs were deemed "of limited functionality."

Authorities of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky reported They announced that they had completed surveys of all buildings damaged by the powerful earthquake on July 30. A total of 187 buildings were surveyed, and the results were published on the city administration's website. 

Residents in the comments writethat their homes were also declared unsafe, but they were never inspected. 

"What's the point of looking at the houses? The shaking continues, and the cracks are getting bigger every day. It's funny and scary at the same time, but on paper, everything looks fine." 

Emergency in Petropavlovsk recognized 151 houses. However, the authorities did not publicly present the results of the school study, kindergartens и polyclinics, the safety of which was doubted by residents. 

The results of a visual inspection of several buildings were compared with photographs of their condition after the earthquake. For example, numerous complaints were received from residents of the building at 51 Pobedy Avenue. NeMoskva confirmed that there were large, deep cracks in the entryway. Experts deemed the building "of limited serviceability," with overall deterioration at 36%. The same was stated in the report for the building at 3 Kapitana Belyaeva Street, which experts estimated to have deteriorated at 38%. The building at 4 Biyskaya Street, where residents could literally stick a finger through a crack, was also "satisfactory," with deterioration at only 36%.

After the earthquake, the head of Kamchatka, Vladimir Solodov говорил, that approximately 7 billion rubles are needed for restoration. This money was promised to be found in the federal budget. In Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, meanwhile, legalized collection of donations for the city budget.
