"Internal enemies" and "provocateurs" will be sought among the population of the Belgorod region.
The governor joined the ranks of provocateurs Vyacheslav Gladkov recorded local residents publicly expressing outrage over power and heating outages caused by the shelling. Belgorod area called for “monitoring attempts at provocation among the population” and then giving them a legal assessment.
"Every difficult situation provokes aggression from our enemies, both external and internal. We see increasing information attacks from Ukraine. We see attacks from external and internal enemies as well," Gladkov stated. "People are already having a hard time <…>. Of course, people are starting to get even more outraged, without thinking about the consequences."
After a rocket attack last week, more than half a million people in the Belgorod region were left without power. However, Gladkov himself understands that the situation in the region is "extremely dire."
“The losses of energy capacity are practically catastrophic today, in all directions, — said the governor of the Belgorod region. “We have never experienced such problems on such a scale.”
