Volunteers from Novosibirsk opened temporary warming stations to help stray dogs survive the cold.

Animals unable to cope with the severe cold will be kept in a temporary shelter until temperatures drop, according to volunteers from the GBR_ZOO_NSK Telegram channel. Afterward, the dogs will be returned to their original habitat.

"We take frozen dogs directly to apartments during the cold weather. Many have responded and are willing to provide a warm place for these poor frozen creatures," the volunteers say. "It's a very difficult time. We're sleepy and very tired, and frankly, we're very cold ourselves."

Volunteers note that they can't take all the dogs into permanent care. However, they can help them in critical situations and save them from dying on the streets.

"In freezing temperatures, a hungry dog ​​freezes to death in 17 hours, a cat in six. Don't pass them by, feed them," the volunteers remind.
