Irresponsible mothers in labor: The governor of Kuzbass condemned the mothers whose children died in a Novokuznetsk maternity hospital during the New Year holidays.

The regional governor reported that over 140 births took place at the Novokuznetsk maternity hospital during the New Year holidays, and the vast majority of babies were discharged with high Apgar scores. Authorities are not leaning toward a hospital-acquired infection or believing that medical error was responsible for the infants' deaths: all the deceased had different doctors.

Summing up, Seredyuk promised to expand the Novokuznetsk maternity hospital by adding 25 beds and increasing the staff.
