Microelectronics factories are planned for construction in the Far East.

At three factories in Primorsky и Khabarovsk Krai They will also produce printed circuit boards. Currently, there are no such production facilities in the Far East.

"Our country is continuing a special military operation and needs us to learn how to produce the component base," — the Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative stated Far Eastern federal district Yuri Trutnev.

Yesterday, participants in a meeting of the Government Commission on the Development of the Far East discussed microelectronics production. “All necessary agreements with companies that are ready to carry out this work with the Ministry of Industry, which will support it together with us, have already been reached,”  — Trutnev noted.

According to the plenipotentiary representative, projects will receive special support measures, “more than in the TOR [priority development area] regime.”

By the end of 2025, the Russian microelectronics market had collapsed by 25%, and the share of domestic components barely exceeded a quarter. Factories in Primorye and Khabarovsk are designed to reduce critical dependence on imports by using logistical proximity to China to purchase machines and raw materials needed to produce printed circuit boards—the foundation of military equipment and communications systems.
