And also in Non-Moscow...in the villages they breed parrots!
Pensioner Lyudmila Martynova from the village of Sungurovo in the Tyumen region has 30 parrots. They live in a separate, warm room of her large family home.
Previously, the family lived in Tashkent, where they began breeding birds.
Once, people came from Murmansk specifically to get my husband a parrot! recalls Lyudmila Martynova.
In the 90s, the family moved to Sungurovo, bringing the entire bird nursery with them. They built a separate house for the parrots, equipped with stove heating and electricity. Under comfortable conditions, the flock sometimes grew to 200.
Her husband, Vladimir, was the family's primary bird breeder. He knew all the intricacies of parrot life. After her husband's death, Lyudmila's son has been helping her. Pets can be difficult to manage: they die from age, illness, and fights within the flock. Lyudmila no longer buys new birds, but she wants to continue the family business and preserve the flock.
Parrots not only help preserve Volodya's memories, but also bring joy. Watching them is always interesting. You'll never get bored with this restless feathered company. — added Lyudmila.
