"My Yard, My Cats." A volunteer project has been launched in Tver to help reduce the number of cats living on the streets.

The project was launched by volunteers from the public organization "Initiative Group for Animal Protection" (or simply "Initiatives"). They will help sterilize pets living in backyards. 

Volunteers also plan to explain People learn how to properly feed cats, keep feeding areas clean, and what to look for in terms of the health of stray cats. Most importantly, the Initiative doesn't want to do this for people, but rather help them unite and improve the lives of stray cats. 

"We plan to launch a chatbot and a dedicated website with step-by-step instructions, as well as a hotline. Volunteers will hold neighborhood meetings, explaining to residents how to act appropriately in various situations. The organizers, working with residents, hope to sterilize over 300 stray cats.", the volunteers said.

For residents, the cost of the operation will be 1000 rubles, with the remaining expenses being reimbursed: volunteers received the funds for this by winning a competition from the Presidential Grants Fund.
