In Ufa, an unknown man broke into a medical university dormitory with a knife and wounded five people. He has been detained.

An unknown assailant committed a stabbing in a Bashkir State Medical University dormitory where international medical students also live. The incident resulted in suffered five people, including a police officer. 

The attacker was also wounded and was detained by police, according to a local publication. Ufa1.ru, it turned out to be a 15-year-old teenager. According to one of the students, the attacker shouted racist insults. TASS, citing the Russian Investigative Committee сообщаетthat he caused bodily harm to himself. His condition is assessed as serious.

The security-linked channel 112.ru cited one of the students сообщаетThere may have been two attackers: one was allegedly apprehended quickly, while the other held the hostage for some time in the building's gym. This information is being verified. 

A criminal case has been opened on the attempted murder of two or more persons and an attack on police officers.
