Evacuations by request, 24-hour warming stations: Heat failed to be restored in Belgorod after the thermal power plant was hit.

Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov stated that authorities are ready to relocate Belgorod residents to other regions. 

This applies to large families, families with disabled children, single pensioners, and children over 11 years old without parents. However, the evacuation is not yet general, but is by request only.  

After the shelling of the Luch Thermal Power Plant on the evening of February 7, more than 80 thousand residents left There was no heating. There was partial loss of electricity and gas, but in some places they were restored. 

The heat supply problem remains. Regional authorities have decided to drain the heating systems of 455 homes, 25 kindergartens, 17 schools, 9 clinics, 4 universities, and other social facilities. In total, in Belgorod about 1700 buildings constructed since 1899.  

The warming points will be expanded work 24/7, as are kindergartens with heating. To leave your child in such a kindergarten, please contact the facility's management. 

At the same time, there is also “good news” for the city’s residents. promised Recalculation of utility bills: if they are not provided, you will not have to pay for them. The compensation mechanism will be implemented shortly.
