Seven people were rescued from a drifting ice floe in Astrakhan.

The fishermen were on The Volga near the island Urban — in the midst of fishing, the ice floe broke off.

Nine people were involved in the rescue effort. None of the fishermen required medical attention. A ten-year-old child was among them.

An ice floe torn from the shore, on which people get stuck, is an annual news item in the last month of winter.
