Seven people were rescued from a drifting ice floe in Astrakhan.

The fishermen were on The Volga near the island Urban — in the midst of fishing, the ice floe broke off.

Nine people were involved in the rescue effort. None of the fishermen required medical attention. A ten-year-old child was among them.

An ice floe torn from the shore, on which people get stuck, is an annual news item in the last month of winter. Last week, Sakhalin A rescue operation took place - dozens of people were cut off from land and floated 800 meters away. However, even dogs get stuck - a couple of mongrels were recently rescued on Kamchatka.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations regularly warns about the dangers of going out onto melting ice. However, many fishing enthusiasts ignore the rescuers' recommendations. This often leads to emergency situations and the need for large-scale operations.
