"High alert": At the Anapa technical school where a security guard was killed in an attack, regular anti-terrorism exercises were being conducted, and students were being recruited for war.

Judging by posts on the technical school's social media page, the last "anti-terrorism defense exercise" took place in August: personnel practiced responding to an attack by four armed individuals, as well as a drone strike.

"The exercises were successful, demonstrating the team's high level of preparedness to respond to emergencies," Reported management of the technical school.

At the same time, it was emphasized that the educational institution has 24-hour video surveillance, conducts "regular emergency drills," and "preventive measures to prevent terrorism and extremism." Student safety is a top priority.

The day before the attack, the college staff and students held a master class for schoolchildren, in which trained their basics of first aid.

“We are confident that such knowledge makes our younger generation more responsible and ready to help,” is noted on the educational institution's page.

Students also regularly participated in military-tactical games and Spartakiads for pre-conscription youth, including winning prizes.

Periodically, the leadership held meetings with representatives of the Anapa military commissariat, who encouraged students to sign contracts with the Ministry of Defense.

Despite the team’s “high level of readiness for emergencies,” the technical school student who started shooting today has been actively involved since last year. posted videos of school shootings and violence (he has more than 60 such videos on TikTok alone).

According to preliminary information, the shooter's mother is an employee of the FSB border service (previously she served in the Ministry of Internal Affairs). The security guard who died as a result of the attack on the technical school was 55 years old and he enjoyed respected by the students (they called him “Uncle Kolya”).

A librarian and an 18-year-old student were injured.
