Deputy Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region Andrei Faleichik has been detained.
He is accused of accepting a particularly large bribe. His home and office are being searched. Faleichik is scheduled to be transported to Moscow for pretrial detention.
Head of the Chelyabinsk region Alexey Texler stated that the matter concerns investigative actions related to the previous place of work of Faleichik, the head Kopeysk city district.
According to law enforcement, in his previous position, Faleichik leased the municipal children's camp "Yunost" (Youth) on a long-term basis. He then began receiving an annual percentage of the profits for his services. The bribe exceeded 6 million rubles, a source told Kommersant-Southern Urals.
