A Russian cosmonaut flew to the ISS on Elon Musk's spacecraft.

Elon Musk's SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft successfully launched from Cape Canaveral, Florida. The spacecraft is carrying four members of Crew 12: Russian cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev, Frenchwoman Sophie Adeno and two American astronauts - the commander Jessica Meir and the pilot Jack Hathaway.

The ship is scheduled to dock with the ISS on February 14.

For Andrey Fedyaev, this is already the second flight to the ISS: his first space flight Fedyaev committed as part of the Crew-6 crew from March 2 to September 4, 2023, for which he received the title of Hero of Russia. He became the 22nd cosmonaut, who flew on an American spacecraft (including the second one on Crew Dragon) and the third participant in the current Russian-American cross-flight program.

Fedyaev is 45 years old. He graduated from the aviation department of the Krasnodar Military Aviation Institute. In 2012 was enrolled to the cosmonaut corps.

Comments under the news online were divided - from "What an event, the newest, most beautiful ship and our astronaut!" until "Thanks, at least Musk gave me a ride to the station."
