"They Confused Nemirovich and Danchenko." A historian criticized textbooks on the history of the Kaliningrad region.

Historian Albert Adylov pointed out several errors in the regional history textbooks prepared for grades 5-7. He spoke about the absurdities рассказал in his telegram channel.
According to the expert, the 5th grade textbook states that "Theatre director Vladimir Ivanovich Nemirovich-Danchenko was disappointed by the dirty streets of Königsberg and the untidiness of the people who inhabited it."In reality, the author of the statement was "Not the theater director Vladimir Ivanovich, but his older brother, the journalist Vasily Ivanovich."The historian also pointed out the distortion of meaning: in the original travel notes "The above-mentioned 'shortcomings' are explained by... the proximity and direct influence of Russia".
"The original post described how the authors of new Kaliningrad regional studies textbooks confused the Nemirovichs and Danchenkos, but that's not the end of it: they're always confusing things. In this passage, they confused Russia with Germany."“The expert ridiculed another mistake.
The city in question is "Tauroggen," which Russian troops allegedly captured from the Germans during World War I. The historian explained that, firstly, the city was already Russian, and secondly, it's spelled with one "G."
"One can only hope that Kaliningrad schoolchildren's psyches will be stronger than those of the old geographer in 'The Golden Calf'.",” Adylov summed up and addressed to the Minister of Education To Svetlana Truseneva with a request not to publish such textbooks.
In the regional Ministry of Education reactedThe department explained that they have not yet begun printing textbooks.
Things are no better with other new teaching materials: teachers done a record number of complaints and detailed comments on the new history textbooks prepared under the supervision of the presidential aide Vladimir MedinskyOne of the teachers sent 30 pages of comments on each history textbook for grades 5-9.
