A roundtable discussion in the State Duma proposed introducing the concept of "chastity"—this should help combat debauchery.

Include the concept of "chastity" in Russian laws to combat pornography, escort propaganda, and "other forms of debauchery." proposed member of the public council at Roskomnadzor Andrey Tsyganov during a round table in the State Duma dedicated to the preservation and strengthening of traditional values.

"The concept of chastity must be introduced into legislation, specifically into the list of traditional spiritual and moral values. <…> If adopted, it will free the hands of law enforcement agencies and Roskomnadzor, of course, in blocking pornography, other forms of debauchery, and escort propaganda, among other things," Tsyganov noted.

The initiative was ridiculed on social media:

“And they don’t want to think about the concept of ‘common sense’?” 

"I don't remember Roskomnadzor having its hands tied." 

"They put the wolf to guard the sheep."

"I think in about five years, the Russian State Duma will propose that all women wear the burqa. And at the request of the women themselves..." 

"So you keep giving birth, raising the demographics, and then bam, chastity... How is that possible?😜."
