"We'll cram it in!": Aeroflot will install extra seats on its planes to increase passenger capacity.

The airline plans recompose cabins of 29 aircraft.

Thus, 22 Boeing aircraft will remove eight seats from business class and add 12 seats to economy. This will increase the capacity of each aircraft from 158 to 162 passengers.

In addition, the number of business class seats on seven Airbus aircraft will be reduced by 12, while the number of economy class seats will be increased by 30 (thus, the net increase for each aircraft will be 10 passengers).

The airline's total capacity increase will be 214 seats. According to Aeroflot, this will allow it to carry up to 230 additional passengers annually.

The number of aircraft capable of flying is declining due to sanctions imposed after the start of the war with Ukraine: Russian airlines are unable to repair or purchase new Boeings and Airbuses. Aeroflot, for example, has already started filming spare parts for passenger airliners from cargo planes.

And the company "Azur Air" against the background of constant problems with its "Boeings" forced to go to reduce staff and flight programs.
