Residents of villages near Ryazan have finally recorded a video message against a pig farm, despite attempts to stop them.

People have appealed to Putin to stop the construction of pig farms and a feed mill. in the Skopinsky districtTo make a video recording, we had to “hide” on private property” – with public ones the day before drove away, assessing the meeting as an uncoordinated rally.  

"The police arrived. It was a complete circus. The investigator was looking for our stolen bicycle, and the deputy chief of police was maintaining public order on private property (uninvited).""," activists in the anti-pig farm group said. 

Pig farms throughout the region are being built by the Agropromkomplektatsiya group of companies under an investment agreement signed by the governor. Pavel Malkov (incidentally, a native of Saratov). No public hearings were held beforehand. 

Three sites are planned in the Skopinsky districtand 230 thousand headsWithin a 10-kilometer radius of the project will be 24 settlements with a population of approximately 4–5 people. In the village of Voslebovo, a pig farm is already operational. Local residents complain of an "unbearable odor" emanating from it, despite promised "modern waste treatment technologies."

"The nauseating stench in the summer, the smell of a crematorium at night, the aggressive chemical fog, the flakes from the feed mill in the air, the pollution of reservoirs and springs ten kilometers away, and the need to buy water."- list activists are concerned about the negative consequences of such a neighborhood. 

Similar pig farms are expected to appear in other districts of the region: Korablinsky, Ryazhsky, Starozhilovsky, and Mikhailovsky.
