Minus 40 degrees and 250 deer: a Perm blogger brought back some great photos from Yamal.

Perm photographer Rodion Balkov He realized his dream and visited reindeer herders in Yamal. Travel bloggers took him on the trip. 

The first thing he did was take a classic shot of a fork seemingly suspended in midair over frozen instant noodles. The cold was so severe that authorities canceled the Reindeer Herders' Day celebrations—from -33°C to -43°C. Then the photographer got into Purovsky District, to a reindeer camp near the village Khanymey. 

"During the day, 250 reindeer were brought in for travel bloggers to photograph. This is only a quarter of the herd—all the animals are spread out across the area. The guests watched the herders lasso the animals and tried to imitate them."- рассказал Rodion to the publication "Perm online". 

In the tundra, the guests slept on the floor of the hut, under a few blankets. The wood stove didn't provide enough heat, and they had to go outside to the toilet. Before this "feat," the bloggers put on all the clothes they had with them.

The northern lights and bitter cold made a strong impression on the guests, especially on the blogger who flew in from Malta, where the temperature was 35°C.
