An official who entered politics under a quota for SVO members has been detained in Tuva.
The reason for the arrest of the head of the Committee on Agrarian Policy of the Supreme Khural of Tuva Aidysa Kuulara It's not named. There are no official comments yet.

Kuular is one of those brought into politics after participating in the war with Ukraine. He served as a paramedic in the 55th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade and has been a member of the SVO since February 2022.
In 2024, Kuular ran for the Tuva parliament on the United Russia list but failed to win. However, in June 2025, he took the seat left vacant by Sholban Kuzhuget's appointment to the Federation Council. Despite his lack of experience, he was immediately appointed head of the committee on agrarian policy, land relations, ecology, and indigenous affairs.
Furthermore, according to the Kontur.Focus service, Kuular heads the regional military organization "Black Leopard," reports Siberian Express.
Since the start of the war, SVO participants, their spouses, children, parents, and anyone else dependent on them have received a wide range of benefits: mortgages, land acquisition, housing and utilities, university admission and education, employment, and even food. The number of benefits has grown, causing outrage among "ordinary" people.
For example, a personnel program for veterans of the war in Ukraine, "Time of Heroes," has been launched, preparing them for leadership positions in state and municipal institutions. The project was launched at the direction of Putin, who had previously declared that the military is Russia's "new elite." Similar programs are now being developed in the regions.
In the September 2025 elections, more than 1000 SVEO members won—three times more than in 2024. The majority—882 people—ran from United Russia.
