Communists are seeking the restoration of the Lenin monument in the Kuban village of Tbilisskaya.
In the village of Tbilisskaya in the Krasnodar region, local communists have initiated the restoration of the Lenin monument in Sovkhozny Park. An architect has already been commissioned to prepare a preliminary design. Funding is still pending.

What are they planning to do?
The head of the village, Alexey Stoikin, held a working meeting on the monument's reconstruction. Communists presented their vision for the renovated monument. Eduard Varlashkin, Secretary of the Krasnodar Regional Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, was invited to the meeting to discuss funding sources.
The Lenin monument in Sovkhozny Park was erected in 1958. It is under state protection and is a memorial site.
Not the first try
Communists in the Tbilisi district have been fighting for the restoration of Lenin monuments for years. In 2017, they succeeded in having the monument in the village of Vannovskaya restored. At the time, they reported that they had repeatedly appealed to all government bodies, including the president, demanding that all Lenin monuments in rural settlements be registered and restored.
How are things in other regions?
The condition of Lenin monuments is a nationwide issue. NeMoskva previously reported that Novosibirsk is showing the greatest concern for the leader's monuments: the local Gorzelenkhoz (Green Farm) is preparing to repair two monuments at once. They plan to spend approximately 1,7 million rubles on the design documentation alone.
The situation is different in neighboring Tomsk. Local communists have been asking for the monument to be repaired for ten years. However, in February, the mayor's office finally refused to fund the work from the budget and suggested that the party raise the funds itself.
