Tatar singer Aigel translated her tracks into sign language.
Songs by the group "Aigel" transferred into sign language. The song "Kötöm," performed in Tatar, was also translated into sign language. The album's translation into sign language was done by a friend of the musicians. Yaroslav Rakcheev (on video). The main challenge was the speed of execution:
«"Hands couldn't always keep up with the voice. This necessitated resorting to tricks: speeding up gestures to maintain momentum, cutting off text in places without losing the narrative flow. Translation isn't just a technical exercise, but a bridge between the worlds of sound and silence, underscoring AIGEL's social mission—to speak the truth about marginalized people, the system, and human vulnerability." — Yaroslava said.
The project is dedicated to the 9th anniversary of the debut album "1190": the soloist Aigel Gaisina recalls that this album was dedicated to the theme of prison and trial, which is why she is a musician Ilya Baramia published it at their own expense.
Aigel herself says she wanted to make her album more inclusive.
"Aigel" is a joint electronic project by musicians Aigel Gaysina and Ilya Baramia. It gained its greatest popularity in 2024 after the release of the TV series "Slovo Patsana," whose theme song was "Pyyala." The track became extremely popular, despite the musicians' opposition to the war in Ukraine and their subsequent emigration.
