Telegram is starting to work without a VPN. But it's still gradual and not for everyone.

Telegram Premium users on Android devices have discovered that the messenger works without any limitations. They can send messages, upload photos, and upload large videos.

As noted by Telegram channels, developers have begun bypassing Roskomnadzor restrictions using a built-in VPN. The feature is being tested in version 12.6.4—the app automatically changes the device's country.

On iOS, a VPN or proxy is still required for Telegram to function properly.
