"My husband said I was crazy." Alla Borisovna from Khabarovsk became a gamer at 75. 

Alla Borisovna has long been a fan of computer games. At first, it was just simple adventure games, but everything changed when her son brought her a PlayStation. 

"He brought it and said, 'Get to grips with it.' But I was kicking myself, saying, 'I don't want it.' I thought a joystick would be so hard on my hands. But it turned out not to be," Alla Borisovna told NeMoskva.  

Alla Borisovna chooses and buys games herself: "I choose adventure games with a good storyline, an open world, and a third-person perspective."

There are more than 30 of them in the collection: Assassin's Creed, The Witcher, Ghost of Tsushima, Uncharted, Tomb Raider, Resident Evil, Final Fantasy. 

The family has different attitudes towards the hobby. 

“The younger generation approves, but my husband said I’ve gone crazy in my old age,” adds Alla Borisovna. 

But there is no madness here. Japanese scientists Found out, that such a hobby is very beneficial. A study conducted during the pandemic found that playing console games improves mental well-being, relieves stress, and increases overall life satisfaction. They also improve reaction times, concentration, and multitasking.
