A children's psychoneurological sanatorium is closing in the Moscow region.
The Korolev branch of the children's psychoneurological sanatorium is closing. in MytishchiThe Russian Ministry of Health confirmed the information.
According to parents, rehabilitation at the sanatorium was truly helpful; the children returned home with a new vocabulary and began speaking in phrases instead of individual words. Rest and speech therapy sessions at the sanatorium were free.
According to the Ministry of Health, after the sanatorium closes, parents will be able to send their children to another facility.
"The Mytishchi district is home to a flagship healthcare facility—the Children's Research Institute. Children with speech and language impairments who have received treatment at the Mytishchi branch can undergo rehabilitation in its 24-hour inpatient facility."- responded in the department.
According to parents, it's impossible to get into the Children's Research Institute of Children: the waiting list is booked months in advance. Furthermore, shifts last 14 days, compared to 25 days at the Mytishchi sanatorium, and speech therapy sessions last only 20 minutes daily.
The parents appealed to the Ministry of Health to reconsider the decision to close the Korolev Sanatorium. However, the authorities' decision remained unchanged: the last shift will end on June 6, after which the sanatorium will be closed.
Previously in Mytishchi closed children's inpatient department together with the maternity hospital.
Rehabilitation facilities for children with special needs are also closing in other regions. For example, in Ulan-Ude closed a swimming pool for such children - it prevented the opening of Pyaterochka. And in Novokuznetsk, without explanation, closed rehabilitation center for teenagers and young people with disabilities.
