"Now it's a quiz show": Photographer Alexander Gronsky's exhibition was censored at a fair in Nizhny Novgorod.

At the Kontur photography fair, Gronsky's works were covered with white paper. The stand didn't list the artist's name or the gallery's name, and the photographs were prohibited from being shown or sold, the photographer wrote on his social media.

"The night before the opening, stern men in suits convincingly proposed a new exhibition design—now it's a quiz booth," Gronsky writes. "If you think you've guessed the artist, contact the Jessica Gallery and receive a prize."

However, some viewers peek despite the ban.

Alexander Gronsky — Russian photographer, winner of Russian and international awards in photography and contemporary art. He is primarily known for his urban landscapes.

Gronsky began his latest major documentary project in 2022, documenting Moscow and its transformation after the start of the "SVO." Gronsky photographs billboards, signs, graffiti, equipment, and playgrounds against the backdrop of the changing city.
