Now they are free birds and they have a choice: an animal rights activist rescued "spent" chickens from a poultry farm. 

Now at home Ksenia Antonova from Nizhny Novgorod There are now ten more animals: some of the chickens have broken fingers, some have severe inflammation of their internal organs, several have eggs stuck in their cloaca and are causing them excruciating pain, and one bird is practically unable to breathe due to an infection.

“They are called old ladies or work-offs, but in reality they are only a year and a half old, - the girl tells. - This is exactly what the chickens whose eggs many people buy in stores look like. Their entire lives are spent in cramped cages, unable to move, in constant pain, illness, and fear."

Each rescued chicken has already been prescribed treatment. Now Ksenia and her team will fight to ensure these birds live the rest of their lives without suffering.

Incidentally, the chickens already have names—they're now the "squad of tired harbor muses." For example, Pepita planned to die, but changed her mind just in time. Helga has the biggest crest. Gertrude loves to stomp in the dirt. And Miranda, the heaviest of the sisters, has Stockholm syndrome, which keeps her confined to her cage:

"I explain to her that she's now a free bird and finally has a choice. She seems to have made her choice—and once again leaves the free hens for home." — Antonova says in the video.
