The introduction of a 2 million ruble paternal capital in Russia will support large families and provide an additional incentive for housing construction, according to the chairman of the Public Chamber of Russia's Commission on Demography, Protection of Families, Children, and Traditional Family Values. "In 40% of cases, mothers with three children no longer work, and if they have four children, they work even less. And the additional burden falls on the father's shoulders, so the father, of course, should receive such capital," the official reasons.
