326 drones attack Russian regions: wounded in Cheboksary and Samara, historical museum-panorama burns in Sevastopol
On the night of June 10, Russian regions were subjected to one of the most widespread drone attacks in recent memory. The Ministry of Defense reported the downing or interception of 326 Ukrainian drones. Defense and energy infrastructure facilities were targeted, and missile threats and drone strike threats were issued in 14 federal regions. The strikes resulted in civilian casualties, and a unique historical monument in the annexed city of Sevastopol was virtually destroyed.
An institute producing components for the Shahed missile system was attacked in Cheboksary.
In Cheboksary, a drone strike significantly damaged the administrative building of the All-Russian Research Institute of Relay Engineering "Progress." This facility is of strategic importance to the defense industry: it produces "Kometa" adaptive antennas, which are used to protect against interference from Shahed-type attack drones and glide bombs.
Chuvashia Governor Oleg Nikolaev reported that three people were injured in the attack on Cheboksary. Two of them are in moderate condition, one received minor injuries, and their lives are not in danger. Although the missile alert for the republic was later lifted, the threat of further drone strikes in the region remains.
One of the largest oil refineries in Samara is on fire, and the missile threat has reached Siberia.
Three more people were injured in drone attacks in the Samara Region. Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev confirmed that the raids caused damage to local industrial facilities. Specifically, a massive fire broke out at the Kuibyshev Oil Refinery in Samara, one of the largest oil refineries in the region.
The scale of the overnight attack forced authorities to declare emergency security measures across the country. Missile alerts were issued in 14 regions, including the Volga, Ural, and Siberian regions: Sverdlovsk, Ulyanovsk, Kurgan, Tyumen, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Penza, Orenburg, and Chelyabinsk Oblasts, as well as Perm Krai, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, Udmurtia, Tatarstan, and Chuvashia. Furthermore, a drone alert was issued in Omsk Oblast for the first time.
Franz Roubaud's legendary panorama was destroyed in Sevastopol.
In annexed Sevastopol, Ukrainian drones attacked the world-famous "Defense of Sevastopol 1854-1855" panorama museum. According to Russian-appointed Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, the fire that broke out left the historical site "practically destroyed." The fire in the museum's square was classified as a severity level four out of five. There were no fatalities or injuries at the scene.

History The "Defense of Sevastopol" Panorama Museum opened in 1905 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the city's defense during the Crimean War. The renowned Russian battle artist Franz Roubaud created this large-scale painting. The museum building had been destroyed previously, in 1942 during the German bombings of the Great Patriotic War, but it was fully restored for the 100th anniversary of the historic defense.
Amid ongoing threats to the peninsula's infrastructure, Sergey Aksyonov, the newly appointed head of Crimea, announced strict restrictions on rail transport. Long-distance trains will now operate within the peninsula only during the daytime—from 5:00 AM to 23:00 PM. Some overnight trains will now only run to Kerch-Yuzhnaya station, from where stranded passengers will be transported to their destinations by special buses.
