Torture exists, and it's divided into 26: The Committee Against Torture Foundation has announced a fundraising campaign.

The traditional fundraiser is timed to coincide with the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture, celebrated on June 26.

In solidarity with those who have suffered from state violence, the Committee Against Torture charitable foundation invites donations of any amount beginning with 26. The donation amount is up to each person: the organizers are not interested in a specific amount, but rather in the participation of as many people as possible in supporting the victims.

The fundraising drive has already begun. The proceeds will go toward paying for the services of lawyers, doctors, and psychologists. They are the ones who work with torture survivors seeking justice.

The Committee Against Torture charitable foundation has been in existence since 2019. It provides free legal, medical, and psychological assistance not only to torture victims but also to their families. This includes paying for treatment, medications, necessary examinations, organizing psychological rehabilitation, and even assisting with evacuation.

The campaign plans to raise 2,6 million rubles over the course of five days—enough for three months of work.
