Elena Perepelitsa has been a member of the Yabloko party since 2017. She has also served on numerous election commissions at various levels in Moscow. "She's very worried about her mother": the lawyer spoke about her client's condition.
The activist's defense team cites the difficult family situation facing the arrested woman's family. Consequently, Elena's isolation in a pretrial detention facility could seriously impact the health of her elderly relative.
"She's holding up, but she's very worried about her mother, who is 75 years old. She needs attention, medical care, and support. Elena is very worried that she won't be able to help her and that her mother's condition will worsen due to her stress," said lawyer Olga Pelsh, describing Elena's condition.
