A stream for us is an ocean for a mink

You might say this isn't a river, but a small stream? But put yourself in the shoes of the little mink pups, for whom this is a serious water obstacle! And in the shoes of their mother, who must ferry the babies to the other bank and make sure they don't drown.

Minks usually hide in dense coastal vegetation, where they are not visible. But this family started crossing a water obstacle right in front of the Kaluga Zaseki nature reserve's camera trap—as if inviting spectators.
