"What's the point of writing to the governor?" Ryazan residents built another bridge themselves.

For several years, residents of the villages of Krasny Yar, Studenets and Isady Spassky district They asked authorities at all levels to repair the bridge connecting the first two villages with the third. When they saw no results, they pooled their resources and built the bridge "with the help of everyone."

The bridge—a wooden deck on pipes across a ravine—was overhauled a quarter century ago, and the rotten planks were replaced with new ones a couple of times, but the bridge still deteriorated. In the late 2010s, residents collected signatures and appealed to Governor Nikolai Lyubimov, who forwarded the complaint to the district administration. The governor assured them that the bridge would be repaired as soon as possible. According to local residents, he did indeed do so: he replaced the planks again. The planks rotted again, making them dangerous to walk on.

The people were outraged again. “We need to write to Governor Malkov [Pavel Malkov" ]!" some shouted. "What's the point of writing to him?" others reasoned. They argued and argued, and, as they say, the hat was passed around. The people responded, and a substantial sum was raised. - said a local resident.

People managed to collect 70 thousand rublesThe money was transferred to a local installer. To Yuri Ryazantsev, and he welded the necessary bridge components right in his garden. A team of local residents installed it. The 14-meter bridge is considered an improvement over the previous one: entirely metal, with railings and decorative elements.

Regarding the obligations of the state, to which citizens pay taxes, the interviewee expressed himself as follows:

Villagers aren't fools; we all know who's supposed to do what. We also know that no one will do it. People have simply realized that no one cares about them. Even if the authorities do something, it's a no-brainer. So, like in the famous film, "I'll do it myself."

Now residents are thinking about lighting the bridge, because it will soon be too early to get dark.

A year ago, residents village of Vyrkovo, Kasimovsky district built A bridge across the Syntulka River to the village of Dankovo. They'd been asking officials for this for about 10 years.
