Hedgehog Kindergarten: A girl from Primorye rescues injured wild animals.

A real hedgehog daycare has opened in the home of animal rights activist Yana from Primorsky Krai. She cares for wild animals that have suffered from human activity or lost their parents.

How hedgehogs end up with volunteers

Yana currently has eight hedgehogs, all of whom needed emergency care. According to Alexander, a blogger from Vladivostok who visited her, these animals are especially vulnerable due to their proximity to humans.

"Hedgehogs are wild animals that live quite close to people and suffer as a result. They get hit by cars, machinery, and lawn mowers. Be careful," the blogger urged.

From fox to bear

Yanaya had previously rescued the famous bear Maika from a baiting station. However, hedgehogs and the bear are far from her only charges.

Among the residents of the house are a fox named Pluto, whose mother was hit by a car, a turtle that was abandoned, and two dogs. One of the dogs was brought from a Buryat shelter where the animals were being prepared for euthanasia.

Alexander eventually dubbed the girl "the Ace Venture of Primorye" because she continually finds resources to help animals. Furthermore, anyone can support her work by contacting animal rights activists on social media.
