Residents of the Penza region are again reporting forced transfers to military recruitment offices. The local administration is providing vehicles to catch men in one of the district centers.

The video, which shows unidentified men in civilian clothes attempting to detain two men, was filmed last week in a regional village. Bashmakovo, on the western outskirts of the Penza region. This week they опубликовал local blogger Stanislav Morozov.

Thanks to leaks from the traffic police database, the Agency publication has establishedthat both cars used to catch the men belong to the municipality: one is registered to the district administration, the other to the Municipal Institution "Center for Support of Institutions of the Bashmakovsky District."

We also managed to find out the names of the men whom unknown persons wanted to take to the military registration and enlistment office.

The first - Sergey Teplyakov, an employee of a private security company. He told reporters that on July 23, several men in black civilian clothes arrived at his home, introduced themselves as "new district police officers," and asked to see his passport. One of them, according to Teplyakov, previously worked in the police and the bailiff service.

"When I pulled out my phone and started looking for a number [to call a familiar police officer], one of them handed me my passport, and the other one came up behind me, grabbed me, and pulled me out of the gate. And he said to the second one, 'Help me twist it.'" Teplyakov said.

According to him, the unknown persons were scared off by his son, who drove up to the house at that moment and began filming what was happening on his phone.

The second man who was forcibly taken to the military registration and enlistment office turned out to be Alexey DenisenkoOn July 22, he was mowing the grass near the monument in Victory Park—as part of a court order that sentenced him to 240 hours of community service. According to Denisenko, two unknown individuals approached him and demanded he ride with them. They then drove him to Penza, with a female administration employee in the car. Halfway there, a relative of Denisenko's managed to catch up with the car and pick Alexei up.

"The car didn't brake right away, I honked and cut it off.",” she told the Agency.

According to blogger Stanislav Morozov, residents of Bashmakovo have created a militia to protect fellow villagers who are being forcibly sent to war. It allegedly consists of 250 members—some patrol the streets, others disseminate information, and provide financial support. Some members have already been summoned to the police and threatened with being sent to war.

Officials are not commenting. The head of the Bashmakovsky District administration Tamara Pavlutkina She answered all the questions asked by the Agency with one word: “Fake.”

Rumors that mass raids on men have begun in the Penza region have been going on since June 18: on that day, people in balaclavas appeared on the streets of the regional center, imprisoned all the men into tinted buses. Footage of the "man hunt" also came from other cities in the region. After this, the regional military commissar Andrey Surkov saidthat panic among residents was caused by “citizens receiving fees from the Ukrainian Armed Forces.”
