Meanwhile, security forces in Abakan detained the mother of singer Shaman, who was mobilized before a concert, and a former rescuer stated that there is no chance of finding the Usoltsev family, who perished in the Krasnoyarsk taiga.
Attack on Wildberries in the Voronezh region and fires at a thermal power plant and oil refinery
A Wildberries marketplace logistics facility was attacked by drones and caught fire in the Voronezh region, according to regional Telegram channels. The company's press service officially confirmed the evacuation of employees. As a result, the sky over Voronezh was covered in thick black smoke.
Additionally, reports have been received of a major fire at a combined heat and power plant in Angarsk, Irkutsk, and at an oil refinery in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Khabarovsk. However, the exact causes of both fires have not yet been officially announced.
The detention of the mother of a mobilized soldier in Abakan
In Abakan, before the singer Shaman's concert at the City Day celebrations, security forces detained Elena Trofimova, the mother of a mobilized Russian citizen. The woman came out to the venue with a sign:
Bring back my son! He was mobilized on September 26, 2022, and served three years in the Northern Military District.
Fifteen minutes later, law enforcement officers confiscated the poster, claiming the protest was "ruining people's spirits." After threats to commit her to a psychiatric hospital and a three-hour detention at the station, Trofimova was released without an administrative report.
The search for the Usoltsev family and record interest in colleges
Experts have stated that there is no longer a chance of finding the bodies of the missing Usoltsev family in the Krasnoyarsk taiga, should they be dead. Too much time has passed to locate them. Investigators, however, believe that accidents or criminal activity remain the primary causes of the disappearances.
Consequently, the changes have also affected the education sector. Authorities have recorded a record increase in applicants planning to obtain secondary vocational education. According to the latest official data, 18% more applications have been submitted to Russian colleges than during the same period last year.
