A third criminal case has been opened against Nikita Uvarov, a defendant in the "FSB building bombing case in Minecraft."

The Investigative Committee has opened a third criminal case against Nikita Uvarov, who was convicted as a teenager for "teaching terrorism." He is currently being held in Krasnoyarsk's Penal Colony No. 31, where further charges have been brought against him.

What is the political prisoner accused of?

According to investigators, Uvarov was a member of a "banned international extremist group" in February 2025. Furthermore, security officials claim he promoted "criminal traditions and antisocial behavior" among other inmates.

As a result, Nikita is now suspected of "inciting a person to participate in the activities of an extremist organization." He has now been transferred from the penal colony and is being held in Pretrial Detention Center No. 1 in Krasnoyarsk.

Persecuted since age 14

As a reminder, Nikita Uvarov was arrested when he was just 14 years old. In 2022, he received a prison sentence for "teaching terrorism" after he and his friends built and blew up an FSB building using the computer game Minecraft. Nikita never admitted guilt, while the other teenagers in the case received suspended sentences.

However, the persecution did not end there. According to the first sentence, Uvarov was scheduled for release in March 2026. However, a month before his scheduled release, security forces opened a second criminal case – for participating in the activities of an "extremist organization." Allegedly, he propagated the ideology of the banned AUE movement among prisoners. This case is still pending in court.

Recently, on August 17, Nikita Uvarov celebrated his 21st birthday – now as a suspect in a third case.
