From Pen to Drone Code: #ShameReview from "NotMoscow"

In the latest edition of the "#ShameReview" column, the NeMoskva editorial team has compiled the most notable events from Russia's regions marking the start of the school year. The program includes school congratulations from former stormtroopers, emblems with drones instead of feathers, and military quizzes from the district court.

Machine gun speeches in Krasnoyarsk and drone code in Vladivostok

Congratulations from veterans of the war with Ukraine were delivered at school assemblies in Krasnoyarsk. Specifically, "special operations veteran" Alexander Klaus was invited to the celebratory event at Lyceum No. 11. The guest, sporting a Z symbol on his sleeve and facial tattoos, concluded his speech with a peculiar farewell.

And as one politician said, for the whole world to speak Russian, study the design of the Kalashnikov assault rifle. Victory will be ours.

According to SOTAvision, the speaker went to the front in August 2023, served as a machine gunner, and participated in the assaults near Avdiivka, Pisky, and Vodyane. The lyceum teachers greeted his speech with loud applause.

At the same time, militaristic changes were made to the school uniform. Students at School No. 61 in Vladivostok were required to wear patches depicting a flying drone. However, last year's emblem depicted a feather against the backdrop of a Russian flag shaped like a book.

Consequently, the updated design was called "strange" in parent chats, and some parents refused to purchase the new chevrons altogether. However, the emblem remains a mandatory element of the uniform, and adults are not yet aware of any consequences for those who refuse.

A historical bot with "tactical decisions" from the court

Furthermore, the courts also joined in on Knowledge Day. Yekaterinburg's Oktyabrsky District Court launched a "history bot" on the national messaging app Max, designed for schoolchildren and students.

Within the service, the creators have included a 30-question quiz about the Great Patriotic War and "modern tactical solutions." Ultimately, users gain access to materials on the conversion of school workshops into industrial enterprises, stories of judges, digitized letters from the front, and rare archival documents.
