"This is some kind of bipolar disorder!": A blogger is outraged by new school subjects about drones and family.
Blogger Anastasia Kramskaya published a video sharply criticizing the new school subjects being introduced for high school students this year. She believes that simultaneously teaching drone piloting and giving up a career to give birth contradicts the logic of societal development.
Drones for boys and a ban on contraception for girls
Among the subjects that sparked the most outrage were "drones" and "moral foundations of family life" for students in grades 8 and 9. The first program introduces students to the manual operation and operation of drones. The second teaches girls about the dangers of contraception and argues that women should not pursue careers.
Reaction to innovations in schools
The video's author expressed an extremely emotional assessment of this approach to school education and the upbringing of adolescents.
"I'm really starting to get scared about what our children will be taught in schools starting this year... While you're teaching boys how to build drones and knowingly sending them off into the thick of things, girls are being told to give birth, procreate, and multiply, knowingly without men, and you don't need a career. It's some kind of bipolar disorder! These two subjects, they can't coexist, and why the hell are they even in the school curriculum?" Anastasia asks.
In the comments under the video, users largely supported the author and noted that such reforms directly support homeschooling or online education. However, some subscribers stated that they see nothing wrong with studying drone technology.
Context and extension to universities
These innovations don't just apply to comprehensive schools. Specifically, starting September 1, a course on drone operations will become mandatory for students at all 19 Russian transport universities.
