Fire in a sauna on Kubanskaya Street
Sauna on Kubanskaya Street Prokopyevsk burned out January 31, 2026. Five teenagers, aged 15 to 17, died in a fire. Another girl managed to escape.
What the court found
The Zenkovsky District Court in Prokopyevsk found that the sauna was opened in serious violation of regulations—there were no fire extinguishers or emergency exits. Furthermore, minors should not have been allowed into the establishment without adult supervision, and the administrator, leaving them alone and failing to monitor the temperature, added wood and coal to the stove twice.
At the trial, the Dolgachev brothers fully admitted their guilt. Selishcheva denied any involvement in the crime. All three apologized to the victims. They were ordered to pay 7,5 million rubles each for the five deceased, as well as 1,5 million rubles for the victim.
