A man who kidnapped men to send them to war has been detained in Bashkortostan.

About the detention Alexandra Vyugova сообщает local Telegram channel "Honest Report." According to the publication, it "kept several towns in fear" Iglinsky district.

How the forced conscription scheme worked

The factory for sending people to the front operated according to the following scheme: Vyugov would find men who abused alcohol or had no permanent address, kidnap them, beat them, and force them to sign contracts with the Ministry of Defense. After sending them to the "SVO," he would pocket the payments (in Bashkortostan, the signing of a contract costs 1,4 million rubles).

The perpetrator was apprehended only after one of the victims managed to escape and contact the police. Vyugov had previously been convicted of theft, fraud, and robbery.

It is not reported whether those he forcibly sent to war will return home.

What's happening in other regions?

Reports of criminal groups forcibly sending men to war are coming from various regions. Izhevsk to fight them came out Voluntary squad "Veterans of the SVO". A Penza MIA was forced to admitthat criminals are acting under the guise of police officers, and ordinary residents “in connection with the current situation are increasingly coming to the defense of offenders, preventing them from being detained by real police officers.”
