For the third time since the beginning of the year, the village of Selivanikha in the Irkutsk region has been flooded with sewage after a sewer line burst. The last leak was fixed only after two days, but the consequences of this incidents It will take a long time to clear up: the feces have frozen onto the road and remain in the basements of houses and gardens.
The smell was something else. It's all frozen now, so you can't smell it, but it was strong at first. Apparently, it all burst quite badly, because the water was flowing here like a river. Our yard flooded while we were drinking tea. The basement was flooded. We were saving the potato crop.

Here, the water was knee-deep, and I couldn't get to the piglet's herd. They say they pumped out 30 cubic meters of wastewater. And they also say that now this land is unsuitable for crops; everything will be poisonous.

Residents haven't applied to the administration for compensation: they didn't receive any assistance during the summer flood, so they don't trust it to help with the sewage flood. The authorities, for their part, claim no damaged property has been identified.
