Attack on a synagogue in Derbent It was carried out at around 17:50 p.m., 40 minutes before evening prayers, REC reports on its Telegram channel.
“After the events at Makhachkala airport at the end of October last year, a police car was constantly on duty outside the synagogue during prayer services, and private security officers were inside,” explains the Russian Jewish Congress. “Police officers and security guards bore the brunt of the attackers’ attacks, they resisted and were killed.”
The Russian Jewish Congress has pledged to participate in the restoration of synagogues and provide assistance to the families of victims: "We call on the authorities to take the harshest measures against the bandits and murderers who commit these atrocities."
