A military airfield is on fire: drones attack the Volgograd region.

Governor Andrey Bocharov confirmed that "A fire broke out on the territory of a Ministry of Defense facility."The official statement from the authorities said that during the night, air defense forces “repulsed a UAV attack” in the area Pickles, "Most of the drones were destroyed." According to the governor, there are no casualties.

According to reports and videos from local residents, the attack was Marinovka military airfield, where a fire and detonation of shells occurs. The airport is located 50 km from Volgograd.

Volgograd's civilian airport is temporarily closed. Flight delays range from 3 to 7 hours.

The Ministry of Defense reported that during the night, air defense forces “destroyed and intercepted” twenty-eight aircraft-type UAVs. 13 were shot down over Volgograd region, 7 - above Rostov, 4 - above Belgorodskaya, 2 - above Voronezh, and one by one - above Bryansk и Kursk areas.
