30 rubles for sympathy for the dead and wounded: the founder of an independent publication in Ufa was fined for "discrediting" the Russian army.

"I'm upset. Very upset. Did I expect this decision to be made? Yes.. <..."I thought how wonderful it would be if the court made a fair decision! It could be an important step toward restoring trust in our justice system.",
commented the court's decision by the founder of the Ufa publication Proofs.rf Rauf Rakhimova in his telegram channel.
Police found "discrediting" material in three of Rakhimova's VK posts. One of the texts, published back in July 2021, discussed so-called "LPR volunteers": "Why do you need this war, young people? Let them sort things out there, and you live, work, have children, make your parents happy! And they're stopping the authoritiesьFor the hundredth time, I would like to call for the creation of good places in the Republic…”
Two more posts "discrediting the army" were written after Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. In one post, Rauf Rakhimova called the results of a survey, in which "almost half" of her publication's readers supported the war, surprising.
In her second post, on March 14, 2022, Rauf Rakhimova attached a link to an article in her publication listing the dead residents of Bashkortostan:
"The young are dying. Their children are left orphans, forever deprived of their fathers' protection and love, and their mothers are left miserable for life. What pain and unbearable suffering... Afghanistan, Chechnya, now Ukraine. We failed to protect the new generation from such trauma."
A "linguist specialist" and a "psychologist specialist" helped identify the negative attitude toward the Russian armed forces and the desire to "transform public opinion" in a negative direction for "law enforcement officers."
The media manager does not consider herself guilty and intends to appeal the fine:
«Telephone law hasn't disappeared—it still exists, unfortunately, in our republic. We all know that such decisions often stem from specific requests from specific people.. I believe there is no defamation in my posts. Professional experts agree.
It is noteworthy that the ruling on the case of the offense on 8 pages (available to the editorial staff) the judge Indira Valieva prepared and handed out within an hour and a half after the end of the meeting.
Rauf Rakhimova did not attend the hearing, contrary to her previously stated intention. Back in August, she went on vacation abroad, where she currently resides.
