Galya, we have a cancellation: the Ministry of Defense wants to take away one-time payments from those who changed their minds about fighting or committed a crime.
The bill is already entered to the State Duma for consideration.
The Ministry of Defense proposes collecting money from those who have committed a crime or "gross disciplinary offense in the form of evasion of military service duties."
We are talking about 400 thousand rubles that the federal budget pays to volunteers upon signing a contract with the Ministry of Defense.
It is proposed to collect the money “proportionally to the time remaining until the end of the term established by the contract.”
The "Mobilization" Telegram channel has already asked whether a soldier's refusal to engage in an assault while wounded will be considered a "disciplinary offense" (reports of such situations have been increasing recently).
"Apparently, the authorities are simply running out of money to pay everyone the promised millions, so for any offense, the military will be deprived of their money," suggest authors of the channel.
Previously, the State Duma obliged volunteers to pay for the damage they caused to military equipment or property. And Putin lowered payments for injuries sustained in the war with Ukraine.
