Optimistic tragedy

В Nizhnevartovsk utility workers cleaning a local park Optimists A two-ton decorative stone worth one hundred thousand rubles was hauled away along with the snow. Video of the "theft" опубликовал Telegram channel "Typical Crab Nizhnevartovsk".

The video shows the truck rocking as a huge rock was thrown at it. Local residents heard a loud roar at that moment, but neither they nor the utility workers understood what had happened.

"This massive rubble stone made of Taganay goldstone was the pride of the park. It was installed under the participatory budgeting program at a cost of 100 rubles. But apparently, none of the workers realized its significance or weight," the Telegram channel writes.

But the most surprising part of this "theft" story was the utility company's response to residents' questions about the art object's fate: they would search for the stone at the landfill only in May or June, because it couldn't be found now.

"If they can't find it, they'll buy a similar one from the same supplier, plus delivery from Chelyabinsk, plus installation (that's about 70-100 rubles)," locals note. And an activist from Nizhnevartovsk Maria Tatarushkina promised to personally oversee the search.

Zlatolite is a durable, layered mineral. It was discovered relatively recently. It is used in construction and finishing work. Inclusions of precious metals give it a decorative feature called "solar sparkles."
