Too brazen a beer: activists from Bashkortostan have secured a ban on the sale of a drink with a provocative name.

The Baltika company launched its operations in the territory back in the spring Bashkortostan The sale of "Bashbir" beer. Clearly, with this name, the manufacturer wanted to establish a connection between the region and beer. But they got too carried away with English and didn't take into account the national connotation: the phrase "bashbir" translates from Bashkir as "give up your head" or "submit."
This caused outrage among local residents, and the republic’s Public Chamber approached Baltika with a request to make adjustments.
The brewing company did not argue and promised develop a new concept that takes into account the specifics of translation.
Well, for understanding!
