Treating dead souls for 33,5 million rubles: Former head of war veterans' hospital detained in Arkhangelsk
The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against Alexandra Pankratyeva under the article on abuse of office.
According to investigators, Pankratyeva instructed her subordinates to arrange fictitious hospitalizations for employees of the facility who did not qualify for preferential treatment. However, the actual treatment for which the facility received payment never occurred. The damages, according to the prosecutor's office, exceeded 33,5 million rubles.
"There are already no doctors, let's lock up the last ones," "Gentlemen, this money can't be cashed. The manager didn't put it in her own pocket," "I think this is just an excuse. The person needed to be removed, but there wasn't enough will or imagination for a more creative method," — social media users comment.

According to local journalists, Pankratyeva held the post of chief physician of the hospital from 202 to 2025.
