The Chairman of the Council of Judges of Russia, accused of links to organized crime, is unable to reach the court by phone.

I'll tell you about it myself. Victor Momotov сообщил to the Kommersant publication.

The judge said he was shocked by the publications about the lawsuit allegedly filed by the Prosecutor General's Office. He called the claims that he is associated with the Krasnodar-based Pokrovskie organized crime group and secretly owns a chain of hotels worth 9 billion rubles "slander."

Momotov himself hasn't seen the lawsuit, and he hasn't yet received the original documents from Moscow's Ostankino District Court—he can't get through by phone.

"Our judicial system, and they tell me they can't connect you! How can that be? It's amazing," he complained in a conversation with a journalist.
