A voice from the window of NeMoskva: “I’ll lock the door, I’ll shake off the old days, I’ll sing songs – one after another.”
We've put together a small selection of high-quality, time-tested rock poets from St. Petersburg. Listen to them yourself and recommend them to you!
🎧 Kirill Komarov — a rock musician who creates his own song poetry, a "blues of his own making." He has been writing poetry since his student years. In the early 1980s, he wrote lyrics for the Leningrad rock band "Presence," and in the late 1980s, he began his own acoustic rock career.

The musician's discography includes 20 albums of songs, combining heartfelt lyrics, rock 'n' roll drive, and Eastern meditation. Today, Komarov performs solo concerts, including with his band, Kirill Komarov and Friends.
🎧 Mikhail Bashakov — musician, poet, and blues performer. He is the author of over ten music albums and two poetry collections. In addition to his regular concert schedule throughout Russia, he regularly tours Europe and America.

"I once came to Nashe Radio. They were playing my songs: 'Alice,' 'Don't Worry,' 'Sambadi,'" Bashakov recalled. "But when I brought them another song, called 'Ozarenie,' they said, 'You know, it's a good song, but it's overloaded with meaning.' I remember that phrase very well because I really liked it. In my opinion, if someone were to tell a philosopher, 'Your lyrics are overloaded with meaning,' can you imagine what a compliment that would be?"
🎧 Konstantin Arbenin — a writer, author, and performer of his own songs. He began composing in the army in the late 80s. For a long time, he performed his songs a cappella at house concerts. In 1995, he formed a band with guitarist Alexander Peterson. Winter Quarters of the Beasts, in 2009 he founded the musical group "Serdolik".

In addition to his musical career, Arbenin writes prose and journalism. He most often works in the genre of contemporary ironic fairy tales for children and adults. He performs solo musical and poetic programs and as part of various alliances.
Incidentally, in 2000, Kirill Komarov, Mikhail Bashakov, and Konstantin Arbenin created the joint songwriting project "ArBaKom." Their repertoire includes songs by all three composers, and concerts are held periodically in St. Petersburg and Moscow.
